PRINCIPAL'S SPECIAL INITIATIVE
ARTS-IN-THE-CLASSROOM
MINI-GRANT PROGRAM FOR FALL / SPRING 2013-14


PURPOSE
The Ventura County Arts Council Arts-in-the-Classroom Mini-Grant Program, established in 2004, is to provide a source of support for the elementary schools to partner with local arts organizations and artists to bring standards based arts into K-5 classrooms. The funds may also be used to take a classroom to a Ventura County arts venue for an educational program. All funded programs must take place during the school day. No after school programs will be funded. This round of mini-grants will be awarded in the spring of 2013 to be used during the 2013-14 school year.

ELIGIBILITY
Ventura County Arts Council Arts-in-the-Classroom Mini-Grants are available to Ventura County elementary school K-5 classrooms that partner with a Ventura County artist or arts organization. All programs must adhere to the guiding principles contained in the Visual and Performing Arts Content Standards for California Public Schools, Prekindergarten Through Grade Twelve which is downloadable at http://www.cde.ca.gov/be/st/ss/documents/vpastandards.pdf. All arts disciplines will be considered. Only one application per school will be funded.

THE GERD KOCH & CAROLE MILTON
GRANT FOR PROFESSIONAL
VENTURA COUNTY ARTISTS

HONORING THE LEGACY OF
LEADING COUNTY ARTISTS OF THE PAST

This groundbreaking grants program, conceived by the artists for whom it is named, is the first of its kind intended for Ventura County exhibiting artists. To this point, grants for individual artists have been limited to scholarships for advanced study awarded to outstanding visual arts students.

Tax deductible donations in any amount may be made to the grant fund. Checks should be made payable to the Ventura County Arts Council, with memo notation: Koch & Milton Grants Fund. Please contact the VCAC for more information or use donation button below.

A For-Profit Art Gallery Lends Financial Support to a Nonprofit County Arts Organization!

 

The Ventura County Arts Council Board of Directors is pleased to announce a generous offer of financial support from the Curator of GALLERY AT THE CROWNE. Beginning with the up-coming show, funds will be forwarded to the Ventura County Arts Council (VCAC) based on artwork sales from the Gallery.
